St Fanahan’s College is part of the Home School Community Liaison Scheme (H.S.C.L.), which aims to help parents avail of the best education opportunities for their son/daughter.
Home School is about building bridges between the parents, the school and the community. It is about helping parents to realise their own potential as the primary educators of their children.
Setting up classes that are of interest to the parents is also an important aspect of the H.S.C.L. Home School is about involving the parents in the life of the school, e.g. paired reading, science for fun, cookery, flower arranging etc.
One of the main aims of Home School is welcoming parents into the school and making them feel at home here. We want to develop and build positive, trusting relationships with families..
