Code Of Conduct


Respect for Self

  • Being on time for school, morning and afternoon

  • Having full school uniform

  • Having required textbooks, copies and equipment

  • Working to full potential both in class and at homework

  • Keeping a proper school journal

  • Abiding by school rules

  • Having respect for rightful authority

  • Being courteous and respectful to all teachers, staff, visitors and fellow students

  • Avoid the use of vulgur or foul language or behaviour


Respect for Others

  • Respect for all those in rightful authority

  • Respect for those who are less able physically, mentally, emotionally or economically

  • Respect for the Right to Learn of others

  • Respect for the right of teachers to teach without disruption

  • Respect for the secretarial, cleaning and caretaking staff


Respect for Property

  • You are responsible for your own property. Valuables, including money, must be kept on your person or given for safe keeping to a person in authority

  • You should never interfere with another person's personal property

  • You should not interfere with, damage or vandalise school property in any way

  • You must respect the environment and avoid littering at all times within and without the school


Unacceptable Behaviour

  • Possession or use of illegal drugs on any part of the school premises or on school-organised outings

  • Possession or comsumption of alcohol on any part of the school premises or on school-organised outings

  • Possession of pornographic, obscene or objectionable materials or publications

  • Smoking on any part of school premises

  • Threatening or abusive behaviour towards a teacher

  • Threatening, vulgar or abusive language towards a teacher

  • Serious or persistant disruption of the learning environment in the classroom

  • Persistant breaches of the Code of Conduct

  • Bullying or fighting
