St. Fanahan’s College is a co-educational secondary school located near St. Fanahan's Well in the heart of Mitchelstown, Co. Cork. It was first opened by Co. Cork V.E.C. in 1979. The school has a long tradition of excellence in the academic, practical, sporting and artistic fields.

Congratulations to our pupils Danielle Hackett and Mary Meaney who have been selected for the Tipperary Minor Ladies Football team, best of luck girls! ~ Well done also to 2nd year pupil Benny Healy, who came 3rd in the Munster Schools Indoor Athletics Competition on Tuesday March 6th ~ Our F1 in schools team are well into preparations for the regional finals in CIT on Thursday March 23rd, look out for articles in the Avondhu for more information.
